What to do when you just haven’t got any inspiration to create something in scrapbooking?  Nothing better than a little challenge… Again, I am inviting you to come around the blog ScrapChallenge.  In it, each week there will be a different topic on which to make a new layout with examples given by a great Design Team, which I happen to be part of.  I can’t believe it!  Thanks Nessa!  This week the topic is about something we would like to make stand out or privilege in this New Year.  Have you thought about it yet?

Cuando uno pierde los dos dientes superiores y queda un espacio vacío, le llamamos “Arco Libre”.  Así estaba Matthias a los 6 años... Que le habrá traído el ratoncito Pérez o habrá sido el hada que llamamos Tooth Fairy?  Pues si no es el ratoncito, es el hada... o los dos...

When you loose two top teeth and there is an empty space we called it a “Free Arch”.  This is the way Matthias looked when he was six... What did the Tooth Fairy bring him or was it a little mouse we call Ratoncito Perez? Well if it wasn’t the Fairy it was certainly the mouse…or both…

Quand l’on perd ses deux dents supérieures et il y a un espace vide, l’on appelle ça « L’Arche Libre ».  Matthias était comme ça à six ans… Et qu’avait apporté la petite souris que nous appelons le Ratoncito Perez ou c’était plutôt la Fée Tooth Fairy ? Si c’est n’est pas la souris c’était sûrement la fée… ou les deux…

La mañana de Navidad es el momento de descubrir los regalos que dejó el papá Noel.  Página hecha con los papeles de la colección de papeles Figgy Pudding de Basic Grey, los sellos navideños de Absolument Scrap aplicados en cartulina blanca y también completando el espacio como un papel estampado.  El borde del papel de fondo fue estampado con tinta roja.

Una foto de familia en vacaciones para desearles un feliz y próspero año 2008.  Mucha suerte en todo lo que emprendan, cosas positivas y lindas y sobre todo salud!  En el mundo hispano, en la noche vieja acostumbramos a comer 12 uvas con las doce campanadas, ahhh y otras cosas mas, hay una en especial que solo hacen las chicas... ponerse algo nuevo para recibir el nuevo año.  Que tradiciones practican en la noche vieja? 

Página hecha con pedacitos de papeles del kit enviado por Stamp and Scrap.  Para copiar el efecto lijado en los bordes de algunos de estos papeles, apliqué pintura acrílica blanca en los bordes de las cartulinas.  Nuevamente algo de doodling para el marco y esas flores transparentes que son tan originales. 

A family photo on holidays to wish you all a very happy and prosperous year 2008!  Good luck on everything you undertake, nice and positive things and most of all health.  In the Hispanic world, on New Year’s Eve we usually eat 12 grapes with each bell knock at midnight, ohh and other things, there is one specially practiced by girls… to wear something new to welcome the New Year!  What kind of traditions do you practice on New Year’s Eve? 

Page made with scrap of papers from the kit sent by Stamp and Scrap.  To copy the sanded effect on paper borders, I applied white acrylic paint on the cardstock borders.  Again some doodling for frame and those ghost flowers which I find so original!

Une photo de famille en vacances pour vous souhaiter un très heureux et prospère année 2008 !  Bonne chance avec tout ce que vous allez entreprendre, belles choses et positives, mais avant tout, la santé !  Dans le monde hispanique, le soir du réveillon, d’habitude nous mangeons 12 raisins avec les sons de la cloche de minuit…et ahhh d’autres choses aussi, comme celle pratiquée par les filles qui portent quelque chose de neuf pour recevoir la nouvelle année.  Quelles traditions pratiquez-vous le soir du réveillon ?

 Page faite avec des chutes des papiers du kit envoyé par Stamp and Scrap.  Pour imiter  l’effet poncé des papiers j’ai appliqué de la peinture acrylique sur les bords des Bazills.  A nouveau quelques doodles pour faire le cadre et les fleurs transparentes que je trouve si originales !
